The yurt is approximately 6.5 miles from the parking area off of Utah-39 Scenic Highway and you are able to drive right to the yurt. Ant Flat Road is groomed during the wintertime and very popular for snowmobiling. People also cross country ski in or snowshoe in; however, make sure you are up for the distance. It is not a steep trail, but it does have some up and down. The actual distance may be less if you take a more direct path to the yurt (rather than sticking directly to the groomed road). Our condo is located right in the heart of Powder Mt ski resort. It offers all the conveniences of home including a 2 car garage at the basement level. There are 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom contains a queen bed, closet, and nightstand. One of the bedrooms has a twin bunk in addition to the queen. The loft has a futon that pulls out to a full. One of the full bathrooms has a jet tub/shower. The 'Great Room' has a sofa that pulls out to a full. Windows extending to the top of the cathedral ceiling offer spectacular views of the Wasatch Mountains. A full amenities kitchen, Directv, laundry room, boot/glove dryer, and gas log fireplace make staying here comfy and convenient.

Five generations ago Fred Cobabe started running sheep and cattle at Powder Mountain and later was assisted by his son, Alvin who later went on the be an admired doctor and who was inspired to turn those pristine mountain pastures and peaks into a powder playground. Alvins vision was implemented by his four daughters and their husbands From the 1960s the Cobabes have introduced skiers into their private paradise of perfect Powder and built the largest ski area in the United States. To construct the resort Alvin’s daughter, Shawna and son in law Clair and their baby daughter, moved to Powder Mountain in 1970 and Jamie has been there ever since and now joined by the fifth generation of Cobabe kids who are are aiding guests as the discover the magical mountain they all grew up at. Guided by the iconic Aleta Cobabe who still operates the Columbine Inn and Elkhorn Ranch the Cobabes are still involved at the resort and in the local farming economy while they sold the ski area about ten years ago.
